What is CBD?
It comes from a plant with a long history as a medicine dating back thousands of
years. Cannabidiol, also known as CBD is one of the two most important
cannabinoid components of the cannabis plant and its amounts or proportions of
CBD vary depending on the strain.
This is not the only cannabinoid that you can find in cannabis plants. Currently,
approximately more than 113 cannabinoids unique to cannabis plants have been
discovered. Among those that stand out the most is CBD, CBG, CBN and THC.
This plant has some compounds that have a psychoactive effect on the body and
others that do not. Among the first are Delta-9, CBN (cannabinol) and Delta-8,
with different potencies and concentrations in the plant, the most powerful and
abundant being Delta-9. These compounds are responsible for producing the
“High” state.
Both CBD and THC have significant therapeutic attributes. But unlike THC, CBD
does not make a person feel “high” or intoxicated. This is because CBD and THC
act in different ways, on different receptors in the brain and body.
CBD can actually lessen or neutralize the psychoactive effects of THC, depending
on how much of each compound is consumed. Many people want the health
benefits of cannabis without the psychoactivity.
It is a natural compound that does not have psychoactive or psychotropic effects,
does not contain THC (No Intoxication, No Drug), without side effects, with
enormous therapeutic potential and the ability to relieve symptoms of various
diseases, improving the quality of life of those who consume it.
In December 2017, the World Health Organization declared CBD a safe substance
for human consumption. It has been the subject of widespread legalization of the
world. THE CBD boom began in 2008 Congress passed a law that legalized it in
all 50 states and removed CBD from controlled substances list. Also, for the first time in 125 years of Olympic history. For the Olympics from the
start, athletes will be able to use CBD-containing products as part of their training
and recovery. The inclusion of CBD among the substances allowed by anti-doping
control opens a path and is undoubtedly an advance against the stigmatization
that may exist in the world of sports.
Benefits of CBD consumption?
This has analgesic, anxiolytic, antioxidant, antitumor and anti-inflammatory
properties; for the relief of chronic pain, intestinal or skin diseases such as
dermatitis, psoriasis and acne.
Inflammation is the cause of a lot of skin issues like aging and acne. Topical CBD
is anti-inflammatory and analgesic, and scientists are finding more evidence that
it can treat dry skin, psoriasis and eczema. The nano CBD molecule in our
formula will have a deeper effect in your skin, working from the inside out.
It is antibacterial, reduces the reproduction of bacteria, lowers blood sugar,
vasodilator, reduces the risk of arterial obstruction, reduces intestinal
contractions, promotes bone growth and works as a treatment for psoriasis.
It is used as an antipsychotic and neuroprotective treatment to calm anxiety,
calm down, improve your sleep cycle, help stress, post-traumatic stress and
depression. It helps treat Alzheimer’s, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder, among others.
According to the World Health Organization, depression is the single largest
contributor to disability worldwide, while anxiety disorders are ranked sixth. CBD
has shown promise as a treatment for both depression and anxiety, leading many
who live with these disorders to become interested in this natural approach.
Also, it works as an anticonvulsant (reduces seizures) and a natural
neuroprotector that helps epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s. It is used
to treat obesity, cardiovascular disorders and diabetes.
It works as a highly effective treatment for arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Cancer, inhibits
the growth of cancer cells (Brain Tumors / Skin / Breast / Pancreas / LiverProstate / Improves symptoms of chemotherapy such as physical pain, nausea,
vomiting and insomnia), Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.
CBD has demonstrated neuroprotective effects and its anticancer properties that
are being investigated at various academic research centers in the United States
and elsewhere in the world. A 2010 brain cancer study by California scientists
found that CBD “increases the inhibitory effects of THC on human glioblastoma
cell proliferation and survival.” This means that CBD makes THC even more
powerful as an anti-cancer substance. Also in 2010, German researchers
reported that the CBD stimulates neurogenesis, the growth of new brain cells, in
adult mammals.
It should be noted that in recent times our level of social anxiety and stress has
also skyrocketed significantly.
The bombardment of information and social paranoia cause our defenses to
drop and we are exposed to more diseases.
Since anxiety is a natural response of our body to danger and stress, it is very
common for it to affect a large part of the adult world population.
At first, these conditions may not seem like a serious problem, but over time and
without proper treatment, they can lead to more serious illnesses such as panic
attacks or agoraphobia.
Cannabidiol, in its various formats, is becoming a natural alternative to treat
these conditions. Unlike benzodiazepines and painkillers commonly used in
these treatments, CBD is not addictive. In addition, its side effects are practically
null.
Other research indicates that the cannabinoid CBD can interact with specific
receptors in our body, which could affect the sleep cycle. The endocannabinoid
system are cell receptor proteins that deal with everything the body does,
including mood, memory, immune function, pain perception, appetite, and sleep.
CBD can also decrease anxiety and pain, factors that can interfere with restful
sleep. By reducing certain symptoms, sleep may also improve. To consume CBD, it can be in oil to be added to tea before bed, in a glass of
water when waking up and under the tongue during the day. It is recommended to
add it to the routine to calm anxiety and maintain focus on the day’s activities.
CBD can also be a good therapeutic option for those who suffer from migraines.
Its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and relaxing properties, both physically and
mentally, can be of great help in alleviating the symptoms associated with
headaches and also in reducing their frequency, intensity and significantly
improving quality of life.
However, it is important to remember that CBD is a natural compound that is
made “available” according to the needs of the body in order to restore its
balance in a natural and stable way. This means, first of all, that the consumption
of a greater amount does not correspond to a better effect and that the optimal
dose is different for each person. CBD can be your best ally to combat this and
other pathologies naturally.
How is CBD produced?
There are several extraction methods to obtain cannabidiol (CBD) from the
cannabis plant. CBD is present as a carboxylic acid (CBDA), a so-called inactive
ingredient. The conversion of CBDA to active CBD is pharmacologically called
decarboxylation. In this process, a carbon dioxide molecule is separated from the
CBDA by heating or enzyme catalysis. This process is similar to the
decarboxylation of THCA into THC, a process that is achieved by burning the
THCA through tobacco (heat), to release the substances.
Difference between normal CBD and NANO CBD?
If you ever wondered what the difference is between normal CBD and Nano CBD,
here we explain the most important thing:
CBD is a hydrophobic molecule, which means that it will not mix with water.
Because of this, only a small percentage of CBD is processed by the body to be
absorbed into the bloodstream.Nano CBD particles are much smaller and act like a dissolved substance. What
makes them much easier to digest and absorb by the body, almost immediately.
It means that the CBD is breaking down into smaller particles to target specific
areas more efficiently. This presentation helps increase the therapeutic effects of
CBD compounds, it has better bioavailability than regular CBD.
